ALCHEMHY Partner CIIAE to Present at Webinar on Synthetic Fuels and Climate Neutrality
We are pleased to announce that Juan María González Carballo, Senior Researcher in heterogeneous catalysis for chemicals and synthetic fuels at our partner institution, the Iberian Centre for Research in Energy Storage (CIIAE), will be speaking at the upcoming webinar:
“Synthetic fuels: a pillar to achieve climate neutrality”
Date: 28 November 2025
Time: 10:00 (GMT+1)
About the webinar
Synthetic fuels are emerging as a strategic pathway for advancing a cleaner and more sustainable energy system. With the potential to significantly contribute to climate neutrality, particularly in hard-to-electrify sectors, heavy transport, and selected industrial applications, they are expected to play a decisive role in Europe’s energy transition.
This webinar, organised by the Repsol Foundation in collaboration with the Carlos III University of Madrid, will explore the technological routes for producing synthetic fuels, as well as the key challenges and opportunities involved in scaling their deployment.
